Let the craziness begin...

Being an author is not easy. You spent hours, days, weeks and months (sometimes even years) creating something that started with a small thought, and then you start with the editing process. It is exhausting and very frustrating sometimes. Now, if you are an author who has secured a literary agent and/ or publisher, the next part of the journey will become a little easier. However, if you are like me and have attempted to go the traditional route of publishing, but eventually got fed up with the constant rejections, you are on your own and that means a heck of a lot extra work. Perhaps, you struggled through the editing phases and formatted your book, even published it, but now promotion and the witch hunt for reviews is giving you a run for your money.

I tried my luck with Facebook at first, but that didn't work out and when I was fed up with the thought police on there and the not-so-much-support, I focused on Instagram and then left Facebook completely. Now IG has an incredible bookstagrammer community and I love the support I get there and the friends I made, but Instagram is also part of the Zuckerberg emporium, and it is happening more and more that they block people from their accounts for something they claim to have broken the rules. The tech monopoly is trying their best to discourage people and are working hard on putting as many obstacles in their way as possible. And if that isn't enough, Amazon is also getting worse and makes sure self-published authors won't get their feet on the ground, by not letting people write a review because they didn't spend enough money, or because they claim it is not verified or blah, blah, blah. It's all a dumb excuse.

Now, I get discouraged easily, but I am also stubborn like a mule, and I am not someone who just accepts what is happening to me, at least not regarding my dream of being an author. I am always trying to help to support other authors, and I am looking for ways to avoid the dark side and not let others take away all my control. I don't need people behind a screen (or bots) decide what I can post or say and what I can't. Last time I checked, I am my own person and I do what I want.

Now, I created this blog to start fighting the unfairness of review removals and vanishing reviews and I want everyone reading this blog have the chance to make your voices heard too. If you are an author (I don't do erotic/ mature audience only content) and want to have your book featured and reviewed, send me a message and I will create a post, so other people can comment on it or make their comment a review. I will also post my reviews for the books I have read to give other authors a shoutout and I encourage you, to leave a comment yourself if you have read that book as well. There has to be a way to be kicking control freaks butts into the universe and although not ideal right now, it is a start.
